European Parliament recognizes the need of striking the right balance between the need for protection of intellectual property and the need to protect the rights of consumers. The future of information technologies and new forms of political participation with respect to the functioning and the role of the European Parliament in political life is also an important topic. To discuss these issues an on-line Citizens forum was organized by European Parliament Information Office for Slovenia, European Parliament Information Office for Sweden and Pro et Contra - Institute for Culture in Dialouge in cooperation with Kiberpipa and Kibla. Members of the European Parliament participating were: Tanja Fajon from Slovenia and Christian Engström from Sweden. The discussion was moderated by Simon Delakorda.
